Refrigerator Storage Dishes

Sometimes when I get together with my mom and sisters, we like to go antique shopping. You never know what you will find. Many times you find things and have to wonder what purpose it served. We found these vintage Pyrex refrigerator storage dishes at several different antique stores. We saw quite a few in red and yellow, but not many in blue. My mom explained that in the 1940s, Pyrex came out with colored dish sets for refrigerator storage. We now live in a time when everyone is concerned about “recycle and reuse.” It seems as though we may need to take a page from the past. Not only are these still great to use in the refrigerator, but they are perfect for storing all kinds of things! In fact, my sister is now using one of her smaller refrigerator storage dishes to keep her teabags.
